Not only are the screens very pixel-packed, but they remain plugged in 24/7. These devices are a nightmare for anyone trying to conserve energy
Because of this, 8K TVs could get banned in Europe
So, this is not good news if you are a TV manufacturer. Samsung and other companies run the risk of having their 8K TVs banned in Europe. The 8K Association released a statement saying that: This means that the majority of the 8K devices on the market will be banned. That will eat into the sales of notable 8K TV manufacturers such as Samsung. Fortunately, this isn’t entirely official yet. It’s still in the early stages, so there’s a chance that it might not go through. Since this is a major governmental decision, the European Union is probably still working on all the paperwork. If the EU decides not to go through with this, then the TV companies will have nothing to worry about. What’s also fortunate is that, if this regulation does go through, it won’t impact a large chunk of the TV market. 8K televisions are still a really niche product.
