5-band equalizer is rolling out to the Pixel Buds Pro
This new feature is coming via a software update, needless to say. You’ll need to update your Pixel Buds app and firmware, and then go to Bluetooth settings -> Device Details -> Sound -> Custom Equalizer in order to access it. We’re talking about the Pixel Buds app, of course. Do note that this is a staged rollout, though, so it may not be available to you at this very moment. It will become available to everyone soon, though, as it’s rolling out to all Pixel Buds Pro units. What will you be able to do thanks to this equalizer? Well, you’ll be able to increase and decrease the volume of different frequency bands, of course. On top of that, there will be a number of sound profiles you’ll be able to choose from. Google has split the equalizer into Upper treble, Treble, Mid, Bass, and Lower bass. Once you’re all set, the Pixel Buds Pro will remember the settings, and will apply them regardless of the device you’re connected to. As it should be.
You’ll also be able to control the volume of each earbud separately
That’s not all, though. Google is adding yet another immensely useful feature with this update. The company will allow you to control the volume of each earbud separately. So, if you need one to be louder than the other, that will be possible. Needless to say, this is quite useful if your hearing is not balanced between your ears. The company said that the update is “slowly rolling out”. That may seem bad, but Google added that it will reach everyone over the next week. So, it’s not as slow as it sounds, that’s for sure. One week’s wait is not exactly drastic.
