Galaxy Tab S8 series specs and features
The vanilla Galaxy Tab S8 model will sport an 11-inch LTPS TFT screen with a WQXGA resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, meanwhile, switch to an AMOLED panel of 12.4-inch and 14.6-inch respectively. Samsung says the displays on the latter two devices boast a WQXGA+ resolution. All three models also support the S Pen, of course. However, while the vanilla Galaxy Tab S8 has a latency of 6.2 milliseconds, Samsung has reduced that to just 2.8 milliseconds on the other two models. This should make for a more natural writing and drawing experience. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor powers the Galaxy Tab S8 trio. The Korean brand is offering 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage on the vanilla and Plus models. The Ultra model gets up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. All of them will support micro SD cards of up to 1TB capacity, in case onboard storage is not enough for you. There are two cameras on the back of these devices, including a 13-megapixel primary camera with autofocus and a 6-megapixel ultrawide lens. Samsung says the devices can record 4K videos at 30fps (frames per second). On the front, we have a 12-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Varying sizes mean the Galaxy Tab S8 trio differ in terms of battery capacity. The vanilla model gets an 8,000mAh battery, Galaxy Tab S8+ a 10,090mAh unit, and Galaxy S8 Ultra an 11,200mAh unit. All three models support 45W fast charging though. However, the retail box will not include a charging adapter. You will have to buy it separately. The device will run Android 12 with Samsung’s One UI 4.1 on top. Other key specs include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C 3.2, support for 71 system languages, Android 12-based One UI 4.1 software, and Dolby Atmos quad stereo speakers. The devices feature a metallic body with an aluminum frame.
