The Backbone One is perhaps the main rival to the likes of the popular Razer Kishi and Razer Kishi V2. Though it has at least one clear advantage over both. It comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack for using wired headphones. Which both of Razer’s mobile gaming controllers unfortunately lack. Although the Razer Kishi V2 Pro that comes with the company’s Edge tablet will have the port included.

The Backbone One controller for Android will arrive before Christmas

That’s good news right? Surely, especially if you’re trying to wrap this up and stick it under the tree for a loved one. But you will have to place your orders as soon as possible if you want the controller to arrive in time for the holidays. Backbone says that orders placed now will arrive before Christmas. But there’s likely less of a chance of that happening if you wait till, say, December 12 for example. The point being, waiting isn’t going to help anyone that wants these for Christmas 2022 gifts. This is also taking into consideration that Backbone hasn’t mentioned anything about how much stock it has. Presumably it will try to fulfill any pre-orders that were made prior to today’s launch before moving onto new orders. And depending on how much stock is left afterwards, it might be harder to get a hold of one till after Christmas. All that aside the Backbone One is one of the better mobile controllers you can buy. Prior to launching the Android model, it announced an official PlayStation licensed version that comes in white that launched earlier this year.
