The Cover Display is still the same size, coming in at 6.7-inches. And it’s still super tall. That is because the physical size of the phone has not changed. Though, Samsung has reduced it by a few millimeters all around the phone, as well as making it lighter. But these changes make that Cover Display even more useful now. As it is also a lot more responsive this time around.
There’s more changes to the displays too
While the biggest change that you’ll notice is that the Cover Display is now 120Hz too. It’s not the only change here. The Cover Display is also using Gorilla Glass Victus. That is the most durable glass available right now, and is 50% more durable than what was on the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The foldable screen, or the main screen, also got some pretty big updates. For example, it is now 80% more durable than its predecessor. And it is also smoother to the touch. That is because of the new screen protection that is built into this display. It’s essentially a big upgrade to the Ultra Thin Glass that was on the Galaxy Z Fold 2. These changes make the Galaxy Z Fold 3 a whole lot more durable and more like a regular smartphone. So you don’t need to baby it as much as the original Galaxy Fold. And that is definitely a good thing. Especially when you look at the price tag for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 this year. It’s cheaper, but still pretty pricey.
